Citizens Urged to Make Their Mark on Colorado When Filing 2011 Income Taxes

Goodwill® Industries of Colorado Springs is one of 15 statewide non-profits selected by the state legislature to participate in the “Checkoff Colorado” campaign. Citizens preparing their 2011 state income taxes will have the opportunity to contribute a portion of their returns to the “Goodwill Industries Fund” by checking the corresponding box next to the fund’s name and specifying an amount.

Designated contributions to the Goodwill Industries Fund will be deducted from refund checks and can be declared on 2012 taxes as a charitable donation.  One-hundred percent of the contributions designated to the Goodwill Industries Fund will be allocated equally between Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs and Goodwill Industries of Denver to fund strategic life skills and development programs benefitting tens of thousands of individuals with disabilities and disadvantages in Colorado.
